Tried this place out, service was horrible. And the food was sub-par. Will not be trying them again.

Great take out Chinese, my favorite that I've tried on the east side of Green Bay/ De Pere!

This is a good place to eat. No frills though. High school gal taking orders could use some training but the food was hot, quick and delicious. Lots of food for the price. There are just 3 booths and 4 tables hit I think they do a lot of takeout.

Go here almost as soon as the doors opened on a Friday and very pleased that I did because i got the lunch prices. Big portions for almost half the price was a very nice surprise since i was just wishing for some lomein and shrimp fried rice. I will be a repeat customer.

My husband and I always go to another Chinese restaurant but we thought since his phone was closer that would give it a try. We were not disappointed the shrimp fried rice was wonderful the chicken fried rice was great the portion sizes were just right. One thing I hate about shrimp fried rice is the iodine tase it's in the shrimp this did not have any at all and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband had an egg roll and I had some steamed dumplings those were great as well. They also have a crispy shrimp rolls and these were great as well along with the sauce that comes with it. I would recommend this restaurant to any Chinese food lover.

Never been disappointed! We have gotten take out several times. I think this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in DePere. Free crab Rangoon if your order is over $25.00. Can't beat free food!

I've gone here several times and I've never had anything bad. Their sesame chicken is incredible and you get way more than even I can eat. Their chicken lo mein is incredible. BBQ chicken with fried rice was really good, not as good as the sesame chicken or chicken lo mein, but it's pretty good. Staff is nice and friendly. Awsome takeout and lots of food for the price.

Cheap and very good. I have high standards for Chinese food (I lived in China, hong kong, and Taiwan), and this was delicious.

Returned to Chef Chen's before Christmas / New Year holidays (tardy posting; sorry!) This visit we ordered Steamed Dumplings, Hot & Sour Soup (w/chicken), more Szechwan MaPo Tofu, and Home Made Green Curry Chicken. The steamed dumplings were very good; would have been excellent (IMHO) if served with black vinegar for dipping. The soup was VERY tasty; just the right balance of flavors. MaPo Tofu was excellent (again) and the green curry chicken was a very pleasant surprise (usually when we have green curry, it's Thai.) This dish was also very flavorful. Again, portions were outstanding value for the money... NOTE - business is mainly take-out based but there are a few tables if you want to eat in but it's not a "traditional" restaurant.

A good place for a quick lunch and great for takeout. Tasty entrees: vegetables are fresh, sauce not greasy & takeout food was still hot after a 20-minute drive home. They advise you to call ahead for takeout, since it gets pretty busy around the times that people are getting off work.

Best Chinese in the area! I am picky when it comes to Chinese food.. But, My husband and I both loved our experience at Chef chen's and all of our food. Bought 2 different kinds of chicken and lo mien and it lasted us for 3 meals for both of us. They even pointed out that we could use one of their coupons (which they gave us from behind the counter) towards our order. Okay I must stop because I am now craving this :-/ definitely our new spot!

Terrible, never again. Hard chewy chicken slimly cold rice. They should be ashamed to sell this stuff. I spent $8 for something I threw out after 4 bites. I hope I don't get sick.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
